Japan Server Differences

From The Alchemist Code Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

This page will cover the differences between the Japanese server and the global server. It is assumed that over time global will get most of the changes listed here but there are no guarantees. New characters and gear will not be listed here. Specific missions/events will not be listed, but new categories of events or missions will be. For information about when Japan got specific units, job upgrades, mementos and enlightenments, see Update History Japan.

Upgrades to Existing Mechanics[edit | edit source]

Enlightenment[edit | edit source]

  • Enlightenment gate 6 (Greed) is available (Added January 28, 2020 in Japan)
    • Requires 110 shards to max and 2 in gate 5 to unlock
    • Gate steps buff HP, DEX, AGI and LUCK stats
    • Maxing the gate gives a 2nd sub memento slot- see Memento section for more details.

Memento[edit | edit source]

  • Maxing enlightenment gate 6 adds a 2nd "sub" memento slot with the below restrictions (Added January 28, 2020 in Japan)
    • Can't trigger or provide memento leader skills
    • Can't use the same memento as the primary slot
    • Provides partial benefit scaling (10/20/25/30/40/50% for 0/1/2/3/4/5 limit breaks) for the base stats, group and max limit break stats. Stats still follow normal stat stacking rules (highest value is used). Stats round down, so in the case of benefits like +1 skill use, you would get nothing since it rounds down to 0.
    • Provides full value for vision abilities on the memento except the max limit break agility bonus which is also scaled by limit break (so would be 50%).
  • Now you can sell up to 100 mementos at the same time.
  • Some mementos can now belong to a subgroup for leader skills. The subgroup won't be used if the memento is being used to provide a memento leader skill, but it can be used to activate a memento leader skill provided by another memento.

Unit[edit | edit source]

  • There is new type of unit called guest unit (specific units can only be acquired this way). For guest units you don't own the unit at the beginning- you must raise it and take them with you on quests. Once you reach 100% trust with the unit you get to keep them. (Added June 2019 in Japan)

Multiplay[edit | edit source]

  • You can kick players out of the room. (added June 2020 in Japan)
  • You can auto run MP maps. (added June 2020 in Japan)
  • MP mercenaries added. (added June 2020 in Japan)

New Mechanics[edit | edit source]

Runes[edit | edit source]

  • Can be applied to units to upgrade stats. For more details see the JP news post (added February 2020 in Japan)
    • you can "auto" upgrade the runes selecting the level you want the upgrade to stop, (added June 2020 in Japan)
    • you can automatically burn runes if you get too many. (added June 2020 in Japan)
    • you can select multiples runes to burn. (added June 2020 in Japan)

New Event Types[edit | edit source]

  • Port Battle (Added July 24, 2020 in Japan)
  • World Raid (Added August 11, 2020 in Japan)
  • Elite Door added to Trials with quests that you can access when the total combat strength of your units of a specific element reaches a certain level (Added October 2020 in Japan)

Upgrades to Existing Events[edit | edit source]

  • First meet bonus in multiplayer is upgraded to give 50 gems for the first 250 new people met (250 gems for the first 10). Global version is only 25 gems for first 10 new people met
  • Mystic World Mobius gives 50 gems for first meeting a certain number of people (not sure how many is the cap)
  • Mystic Tower Veda sells 2 full sets of a random unit's job+ equipment in the shop (varies each shop reset)
  • Accumulated Login Bonus which gives bonus gems based on total login days (added August 22, 2019 in Japan)
  • Extra mode added to box event bosses (added February 2020 in Japan)
  • Gold rush drops increase (Added March 12, 2020 in Japan)

Shop Changes[edit | edit source]

Advanced Arena Shop[edit | edit source]

A new upgraded version of the arena shop is added with a new coin (old format arena coins can be converted to it at a rate of 100 to 1). The items in the shop include a relief selector (for 1000 new arena coins), enlightenment gate max materials and other items. It has a timer that indicates it should reset every 2 months but according to JP players it has not actually been resetting and it is unclear if this is intentional. (Added June 1, 2020 in Japan)

Quality of Life Changes[edit | edit source]

  • Tutorial reroll feature includes all non-collab units (note that in Japan they do not get the 150 shards for the unit that we do in the global version)
  • New players now start with 50K gems. (added February 2020 in Japan)
  • Multiplayer changes including an option to auto and multiplayer mercenary feature (added June 18, 2020 in Japan)
  • Push notification for auto-repeat (added August 2020 in Japan)
  • Ability to search for capture videos for EX and higher quests (including bosses) when defeated (Added October 2020 in Japan)
